WET & WILD WATER WOMEN, 16/17 JUNE, ENNISCORNE |

The Irish Surfing Association has announced that its national women's surfing weekend will take place in Enniscrone, Co Sligo on the 16/17th June. The event is expected to attract over five hundred participants to celebrate women's surfing in Ireland by bringing together women of all ages and surfing abilities to meet, share information and advice on the sport and introduce other women to surfing in an all female environment.
The event will kick off at 10am on Saturday 16th June at Enniscrone Beach with beginners surfing lessons and coaching for improvers. All equipment and coaches will be provided. There will be a lunch break at 1.00pm for the Denny Beach Barbecue followed by more lessons and coaching until 6pm.
At 8pm "The Silver Surfari", a documentary created and produced by Naomi Britton will be screen at Gilroys Bar. The documentary takes us back to the roots of Irish surfing as a group of ageing surfers reunited for the first time in 40 years for the Patron's Pilgrimage Surfing Safari. The evening will finish up with Surf Chixxx, the Bundoran band staring surfers Aine O' Doherty and Niamh Hamil.
